Start them off with the bike as a conventional balance bike, thanks to its unique freewheel system. As they gain confidence, they can progress to the slow speed setting (5mph), balancing on their own using the foot pegs while refining their throttle control with the bike's twist throttle. Once they're comfortable with the slow speed, they can move on to the faster setting (10mph).
